La photographie, dès son inven-tion, s'est positionnée comme étant dorénavant le (seul) média à pouvoir représenter la "réalité". La peinture académique s'est vue ainsi rapidement concurrencer et les artistes faire évoluer leurs pratiques vers des représentations s'éloignant de plus en plus de la réalité ; l'impressionnisme, le fauvisme, le cubisme et enfin l'art abstrait avec ses innom-brables variantes.
Mais le photographe peut aussi facilement appréhender l'abstrait;
la nature est généreuse à cet égard !

The photography, from its invention, has positioned itself as henceforth the (only) media capable of representing "reality". Academic painting thus quickly saw itself competing and artists evolving their practices towards representations moving further and further away from reality; impres-sionism, fauvism, cubism and finally abstract art with its innumerable variants.
But the photographer can also easily grasp the abstract; nature
is generous in this regard!

La fotografia, fin dalla sua invenzione, si è posizionata ormai come l'(unico) mezzo in grado di rappresentare la "realtà". La pittura accademica si vide così ben presto in competizione e gli artisti evolsero le loro pratiche verso rappresentazioni sempre più lontane dalla realtà; impres-sionismo, fauvismo, cubismo e infine l'arte astratta con le sue innumerevoli varianti.
Ma il fotografo può facilmente cogliere anche l'astratto; la natura è generosa in questo senso!

Die akademische Malerei sah sich daher schnell im Wettbewerb und die Künstler entwickelten ihre Praktiken hin zu Darstellungen, die sich immer weiter von der Realität ent-fernten; Impressionismus, Fauvis-mus, Kubismus und schließlich die abstrakte Kunst mit ihren unzähligen Varianten.
